Full Journal pdf1999-03-05 House Journal Page 0370 HB 12 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the March3, 1999 calendar (page 343) was read the third time: CS FOR SPONSOR SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 12(FIN) "An Act relating to a utility corridor and railroad right-of-way between the Alaska Railroad and the Alaska-Canada border." Representative Davies moved and asked unanimous consent that CSSSHB 12(FIN) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. 1999-03-05 House Journal Page 0371 HB 12 Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Davies: Page 2, lines 9 - 17: Delete "(B) record the route of the utility corridor and railroad right-of-way in the appropriate recording office; the recordation of the route (i) is not subject to the requirements established for the recording of documents under AS40.17; and (ii) in regard to nonstate land, is solely for informational purposes and does not constitute the assertion of a right to or an encumbrance of land or an interest in land that is not owned by the state; and" Insert "(B) delineate the route of the utility corridor and railroad right-of-way in any system of land records maintained by the Department of Natural Resources under AS 38.05.035; and" Representative Davies moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Ogan objected and withdrew the objection. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. The question being: "Shall CSSSHB 12(FIN) am pass the House?" Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Williams be excused due to illness. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
